This role involves working on-site in the Redmond office alongside a close-knit team of subject matter experts, with some remote team collaboration. Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Backend Developer with up to 4 years of experience to build scalable and efficient ETL services for our analytics platform. This role involves working on-site in the Redmond office alongside a close-knit team of subject matter experts, with some remote team collaboration. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL services using languages like Python and frameworks like AWS Step functions, FastAPI.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust connectors to external systems of record in domains like GL, bank.
- Implement and optimize APIs to support seamless data exchange between backend systems.
- Collaborate with front-end developers and domain experts to align backend architecture with business needs.
- Ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of backend services.
- Debug and resolve technical issues, adhering to best practices in coding and testing.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience developing backend systems.
- Proficiency in building AWS services based solutions.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design and integration.
- Familiarity with database systems (SQL and/or NoSQL).
- Experience in collaborative, small-team environments.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with both on-site and remote team members.
- Must be willing to work on-site in Redmond/Seattle, WA.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles.
- Experience with AWS.
- Understanding of banking or financial analytics is a plus.
- Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
