Role Summary

The Graphic Designer role is responsible for developing solutions to create graphics, animations, and visual media.
As an individual contributor, this role creates and recommends improvements to content that supports learning objectives and leverages modern and innovative design techniques and strategies.


Key Responsibilities

With limited direction from leadership, work independently to manage moderately complex projects, including timelines, development of visual materials, content, scripts, stakeholder coordination, video production, and audio elements.

Apply industry knowledge to design and produce graphics, images, illustrations, animations, and layouts for digital learning experiences, training materials, or internal communications, ensuring consistency with established design standards and brand guidelines.

Make recommendations based on design specifications, storyboards, and simulations for graphics or animations that could improve the overall user experience.

Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including content creators and subject matter experts, to develop visually engaging materials and support both informal and formal review processes.

Participate in stakeholder discussions to brainstorm and contribute creative ideas that enhance the visual quality and effectiveness of materials.

Regularly communicate project status, identify potential risks, and escalate issues as needed to ensure timely delivery.

Take initiative to stay current with industry trends and explore new technologies to continuously improve design and animation capabilities, recommending updates to align with evolving standards.

Utilize internal learning platforms to upload, test, organize, and maintain content, ensuring alignment with best practices and system requirements.


Qualifications

Required

2+ years of experience in graphic design within learning, training, or a related field.

Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, animation, visual arts, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or similar design and animation tools.

Strong proficiency in visual design, including image creation and editing.

Experience with one or more eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, or similar platforms).

Demonstrated creativity and strong design capabilities.

Portfolio showcasing a range of design and animation work or other digital assets.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal oversight.

Ability to assess the impact of changes on projects and adjust work accordingly.

Ability to provide guidance on visual design approaches across learning or content development initiatives.

Proficiency with standard productivity tools (e.g., document editing, spreadsheets, presentations, and email platforms).

High school diploma or equivalent.

Must be authorized to work in the United States.


Preferred

Professional certification in graphic design, animation, or a related field.

Experience with photography and videography.

Working knowledge of web design principles.
