1. Detailed description of the project deliverables:

The Query topics team under enrichment space manages a wide range of services that covers text data classification and tagging of topics. TextIQ, Discover designer are the two key application stacks the team need to manage as part of day to day operations. The goal of the contractor role is to augment the team in handling engineering tech debt. Some examples of backlog; Automation of service Migration of service from using self hosted Kafka cluster to AWS MSK, migration of service logic from legacy CrateDb version syntax to newer version, implementing minor enhancements identified as product gaps from previous incidents.

1. Key Skills:
   1. Java , Google webtool kit, AWS (EKS, RDS) , RelationalDB preferably Postgres, ReactJS, Knowledge of text search databases such as Elastic Search. Jenkins, gitlab.
   2. Nice to have: Go lang, RabbitMQ
2. Anticipated Start Date: Dec 1, 25
3. Anticipated End Date/Project Duration (is there a possibility for an extension?): 3 months, with 3 month extensions.

6. Working On-site / Remote, if on-site: Onsite Reston, VA or Seattle, WA
7. Approximate hours per week (Full-Time/Part-Time etc.): 40
8. Qualtrics’ stance is to not offer overtime to contractors, unless discussed within the contract. Do you expect this contractor to work overtime? If so, by how many hours per week? Will there be an increase in pay for any overtime hours?: No overtime
9. Interview Process (how many and length of each, who is the interviewer?): 2 Interviews - 1. Candidate previous experience questions along with design review 2. Coding and evaluate experience with cloud environments and CI/CD
10. Other Information: Based on the candidate skillset and bug fix load, the team can narrow the scope of ownership to a specific set of services so that the contractor doesn’t have to go through an extensive learning curve.
