About Our Client & This Role

Our client empowers high-impact companies to build better customer relationships. They are creating an AI-native CRM designed for modern teams, replacing legacy systems built for how the world worked decades ago.

Their vision is to build the first autonomous CRM — a system that actively helps sellers move deals forward rather than simply recording activity. By combining AI-native architecture with deeply integrated product experiences, the platform enables teams to move faster, understand customers better, and close more business.

They are building a world-class team across engineering, product, design, and go-to-market, and are looking for a Staff Product / Platform Engineer with 8+ years of experience to join the team in Seattle.

This role will own the development of the data and integration platform from the ground up, enabling seamless data flow between the platform and the broader GTM ecosystem. The team is seeking an engineer with a strong product mindset and deep experience building scalable, data-intensive platforms who can take ownership of this initiative and shape both the technical architecture and the product capabilities it unlocks.

This is a critical hire that will establish a core technical capability the team currently lacks.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Own the initiative to design and build the data and integration platform, enabling bi-directional integrations with tools such as HubSpot and other systems across the GTM ecosystem.

  • Take full ownership of the platform from both a technical and product perspective, from identifying data requirements through architecture and implementation.

  • Design and develop high-quality, scalable software systems supporting complex integrations and large-scale data processing.

  • Drive architecture and platform design decisions that will shape how integrations and data pipelines are built across the product.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and go-to-market teams to deliver features that solve real customer problems.

  • Debug and improve production systems, implementing strong monitoring and observability practices for distributed systems.

  • Establish durable patterns for data ingestion, processing, and integration workflows across the platform.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in platform engineering, building data platforms, or integration platforms.

  • Experience building data or integration platforms that support production products.

  • Experience working at a B2B SaaS startup (Series A–C).

  • Experience understanding customer problems and translating them into product and platform solutions.

  • Expertise in monitoring and observability to debug production systems.

  • Strong experience with Kafka, TypeScript, and Postgres.

  • Located in Seattle, WA (or willing to relocate).

  • Ability to work in-office three days per week (Tuesday–Thursday).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data pipeline technologies such as Spark or Flink.

  • Experience designing event-driven or streaming architectures.

  • Experience building customer-facing data platforms or integration APIs.

Traits That Tend Not to Be a Fit

  • Engineers whose experience is primarily DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure-only (e.g., CI/CD pipelines or AWS infrastructure work).

  • Candidates without experience building customer-facing product systems.

  • Frequent job hopping without meaningful ownership or impact.
